Hi,

I have read with great interest about all the various stroker motors that are being released. I just read of a fellow forum member (M5board) that is having the conversion done at racing dynamics. I have been a big fan of your products since my E30 days and had your steering wheel, 16 inch wheels on my car.
The question I have is what parts does the conversion entail and would you be interested in selling the components as parts with my performance shop doing the installation. I do not require any form of warranty on anything.
My previous stroker was a 3.5 S50B30 that had the Hartge crank installed as well as the block being decked. Is this the case with your stroker?
Please let me know if you would be interested, I am situated in South Africa.

Kind Regards,

Desert

Generally speaking we are not fond of selling components of our RS Motors. This objection is based on a variety of reasons that I don't need to explain, as you probably can imagine the implications of releasing parts without any control over their use and their installation.

That being said, we understand that distance is an issue, so we need to make some exceptions if we want to supply our motors to some far away customers. The RS58 you mentioned is being built on a core motor that we purchased for the customer. If this option is not viable for you, let's figure out if your shop in RSA is interested in supporting the Racing Dynamics motor program in the future: if they are, we can open them up as a dealer and circumvent our restrictions that way.

What sort of pricing are we looking at for the RS58 if we send you my engine for modification? Expected power and toque outputs? Some time back we discussed getting a set of your exhaust manifolds to fit to my M5 here in South Africa but never went further due to possible warranty problems with BMW SA.
Rumours are now starting to circulate on the M5 board about the next M5 having a V10 version of the current 4.4l V8 tt rather than just an upgraded V8. If true this equates to a 5.5l V10 and we then get forced induction thrown in as well together with an OEM warranty but just wishful speculation at this stage.......

As far as speculation goes, most people at BMW will claim that the next M5 will have a turbocharged V8, which most likely will be an evolution of what is in the X5/X6 M models. However, this car is still 2-3 years away from production and many things can change.

Although we suggest our pricing, individual dealers are allowed to set their own pricing in their own markets, so we do not post list prices publicly. Feel free to send me a private message, or you can Skype the office at racingdynamics. Alternatively, you may email us at export@racdyn.com. We look forward to hearing from you.
